trading certificate
Under section 117 of the Companies Act 1985, a company may not trade; i.e. acquire assets, incur liabilities or carry on business activities until it has received a trading certificate issued by the Companies Registry. The trading certificate can be applied for once the company has achieved its minimum capital.
