In the context of the insider dealing regime under the Criminal Justice Act 1993, information in relation to securities which would if made public be likely to have a significant effect on the price of the securities. This term was also used in the Listing Rules before 1 July 2005 but now, in that context and under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, this term has been superseded by the term inside information.
