River Basin Management Plans (RBMP)
Plans for the integrated management of entire water systems, from areas of surface run-off through to estuaries and the sea. The RBMP provides details of the objectives that have been set by the various water bodies within the river basin district. The EU Water Framework Directive places an obligation on each member state to produce a comprehensive plan for each river basin district and to update it every six years.
