working capital statement
A statement by the directors of a company that in their opinion the working capital (the amount it needs to finance its stocks and day-to-day expenses of running the business) available to the company and its subsidiaries is sufficient, or, if not, how it is proposed to provide the additional working capital thought by the directors to be necessary. This statement is sometimes required to be made in a prospectus/listing particulars or in circulars to shareholders, depending on the nature of the transaction which is being undertaken by the relevant company.
