European Union, United KingdomEU Convention on the law applicable to contractual obligations (), was opened for signature in Rome on 19 June 1980 (OJ 1998 C27/37) and was enacted in the UK by the Contracts (Applicable Law) Act 1990, which entered into force on 1 April 1991.
