EPA
USA
The federal agency that creates and enforces regulations to safeguard the environment and human health. Its major role is setting national standards under various environmental protection statutes in cooperation with state and local governments. Environmental issues under its jurisdiction include climate change, clean air, clean water, endangered species protection and pesticide control.
