Highway Code

Highway Code
a publication of the Department of the Environment that gives guidance for road users. It does not have the force of law but is a relevant guide in civil and criminal proceedings as to reasonable conduct. See Hoaxley v . Dartford DC1979 RTR 359; White v . Broadbent and British Rail Services [1950] Crim. LR 129; Powell v. Phillips [1972] 3 All ER 864.
