The person (or persons) who have the general control and management of the administration of a charity (section 97 Charities Act 1993).
A charity trustee can be:
• The trustee of a charitable trust.
• The director of a charitable company.
• A member of the management committee of a charitable unincorporated association.
A charitable trustee may also be called a "managing trustee", and should not be confused with a custodian trustee.
