UCC
USA
Legislation adopted by all states that codifies certain laws dealing with commercial transactions. In connection with loan transactions, counsel is primarily concerned with Article 8 (Investment Securities) and Article 9 (Secured Transactions). Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code governs transactions that involve the transfer of an interest in personal property or fixtures of a debtor as security for an obligation.
