administered arbitration
arbitration supervised by an arbitral institution, which assists in the appointment of the arbitrators, provides a set of procedural rules and some degree of administration.

A form of arbitration conducted with the support of, and according to the rules of, an arbitral organization such as the American Arbitration Association or the International Centre for Dispute Resolution. The administering body handles:
• The appointment process during the selection of the arbitration panel.
• The parties' objections to the arbitrators.
• Problems that arise during the arbitral proceedings.
• The collection of fees to compensate arbitrators.
• Discovery requests.
• Subpoenas for documents or witnesses.
• Arrangements for a timely award.
