approved person
A person in relation to whom the Financial Services Authority (FSA) has given its approval under section 59 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 to carry out specified controlled functions within authorised persons. The detail of the approved persons' regime is set out in the FSA Handbook in the Statements of Principle and a Code of Practice for Approved Persons.
