COT3

COT3
A form used to record the terms of settlement of an employment tribunal claim (or potential claim) negotiated with the assistance of an ACAS conciliation officer. The COT3 is not a legal requirement since an agreement reached following ACAS conciliation is binding provided it satisfies the legal formalities of a contract. Where ACAS has not conciliated, any settlement must adhere to the formalities of a compromise agreement.
