CPR 18 request
A formal request for more information about a party's claims or documents. The detailed provisions are set out in CPR 18. Note that the court can order a party to respond if he does not do so voluntarily. A response to a CPR 18 request is classed as a statement of case under the CPR, so responses must be verified by statements of truth.
