contribution notice
A financial obligation requiring the payment of a sum of money to a defined benefit scheme. The liability is imposed by the Pensions Regulator on one or more employers or other persons associated or connected with them if, on or after 27 April 2004, there has been an act or omission, one of the main purposes of which was to avoid or reduce an employer debt under section 75 or 75A of the Pensions Act 1995 (as amended).
