The meaning of this term differs depending on the context in which it is used. It may mean either:
• The rate of interest payable (typically semi-annually) on a convertible bond or exchangeable bond or other fixed interest security; or
• The certificate attached to a bearer security (for example, a bond) evidencing interest due on a specified date which the holder cashes in on interest payment dates.
