Court of First Instance
(CFI)
The forum for appeals against decisions made by the European Commission. The CFI has specific jurisdiction to review decisions imposing penalty payments or fines and, where appropriate, it may increase, reduce or cancel any such sanction. It may also grant interim relief and declare that the Commission has wrongly failed to act.
