serious irregularity
An irregularity in arbitral proceedings, as provided for in section 68 of the Arbitration Act 1996, which the court considers has caused or will cause substantial injustice to the applicant and can be used as a ground to challenge an award in the proceedings. Section 68 of the Arbitration Act 1996 has effect notwithstanding any agreement to the contrary and is listed as a mandatory provision at Schedule 1 of the Arbitration Act 1996.
