A share warrant gives the holder the right to subscribe at a fixed price for shares in a company at some future date or dates.

Also known as equity warrants. Certificates, usually valid for a stipulated period of time, that give the holder the right to subscribe for shares at a stipulated price. The warrants can often be traded independently from the underlying shares.
