solo consolidation
A reporting treatment that the Financial Services Authority may grant for capital adequacy reporting and is a substitute for reporting on a non-consolidated basis. The aim is to include in the consolidation only those subsidiaries that have a close relationship with the bank, so that it should be possible to wind up the subsidiary rapidly and repatriate its net assets to support depositors of the parent company. In short, solo-consolidated subsidiaries should not be a potential source of weakness to the parent.
