USAThe floor space that may be rented to tenants in a building. Depending on the agreed on terms of a particular lease, the rental payments are usually based on the net leasable area of the leased premises. Generally the net leasable area excludes non-leasable space such as common areas and space devoted to the heating and cooling of the building and other utility areas.See also gross leaseable area.
