assignation of writs

assignation of writs
transfer of the deeds. As a matter of statutory implication in Scottish conveyancing, the person obtaining land under a disposition or original grant is assigned the writs, the purpose being to fortify his ex facie valid title if challenged, a purpose now not so important as extracts photocopied from the record are held to be as good as originals.
