Burton's Legal Thesaurus. . 2006

bundle
the papers in the case in good order. English practice has now reached a stage where bundles are used very frequently. Practice varies and in some cases is subject to detailed rules, as, for example, family cases in the Family Division of the High Court where the bundle should normally be in a ring binder or arch lever file and limited to 350 pages per file. The great advantage is that there is only one set of papers instead of as in, for example, Scotland where there is an applicant's and respondent's set, often duplicating the same papers. Pagination and indexing allow hearings to proceed very quickly and facilitate the writing of judgments.
