irregular execution

irregular execution
an execution is irregular when any of the requirements of the rules of court have not been complied with; in such a case the proceedings may be set aside or amended or otherwise dealt with in such manner and upon such terms as the court thinks fit. An execution will be irregular where, for example, it is levied by an unauthorised officer or where there is an error in the amount ordered to be recovered or paid.
